Year Group Saints

At St Thomas More, our Year Group Saints embody the spirit of our mission: “aspire not to have more but to be more.” Each saint is a powerful example of living out our core values—authenticity, sacredness, passion, inspiration, resilience, and empathy. They guide us as we seek to find our true vocation, grow into our best selves, and make a meaningful difference in the world. The lives of these saints inspire our students to embrace their unique call to #BeMore, both within our school community and beyond.
  • Year 7 – St Thérèse of Lisieux: Known as “The Little Flower,” St Thérèse teaches us that even the smallest acts of kindness can bring great joy and love to the world.
  • Year 8 – St Francis of Assisi: With his deep love for all of God’s creation, St Francis inspires us to live with humility, simplicity, and a heart for service.
  • Year 9 – St Maximilian Kolbe: As a martyr who gave his life for another, St Maximilian exemplifies the ultimate act of selfless love, reminding us to stand up for others in times of need.
  • Year 10 – St Mother Teresa: A symbol of compassion and dedication, St Mother Teresa’s life encourages us to serve the poor and see Christ in everyone, no matter how small or overlooked.
  • Year 11 – St Oscar Romero: As an advocate for social justice, St Oscar Romero challenges us to be courageous and speak out against oppression, even when it requires great personal sacrifice.
Together, these Year Group Saints help us strive to grow in virtue and live out our school mission, embracing the call to #BeMore in all aspects of our lives.
